‘Lungs - The Space Between the Passages’ is an abstracted x-ray of the lungs and explores the passages between the tesserae which resembles the ribs. There are many different passages within the marble that use the interstices (the spaces between the tesserae) as active, not simply passive messages. It explores nuanced texture and surface undulation, in a continued exploration of the feeling emerging from material.
