2021 - Four Colors of Indian Sandstone - Teakwood, Raj Green Brown, White Mint and Shivuri Pink - 43 cm x 42 cm
Substance reflects both the material characteristics of the place and the diversity of people at Collingwood Yards. The work is a homage to Jacquelin Low, who refined the use of paving materials to connect the two main buildings and championed the development of this unique creative community as the sites' inaugural General Manager. Artist, Louise Marson, has harnessed the distinct qualities in each of these stones to create a tonally graduated series of interconnected meandering passages, that also mirror the diversity and ongoing evolution of the Collingwood Yards community.
