This mosaic displays a series of forms referring to rock stacking by a stream, an exercise that requires balance, mindfulness and stillness. It is done to bring about focus, peace and calm for both maker and viewers. For Louise, who identifies with being in a marginalised group, the art of mosaic making brings about these qualities of peace and calm.

The Tree of Life commonly represents the interconnectedness of everything in the universe. Blue represents both the sky and the sea.

Tree of Life - Green

The Tree of Life is depicted as a large tree with spreading branches and roots, reaching up high and down below respectively, and is contained within a circle. The circular aspect of the symbol represents the world and the tree represents everything in it. The green symbolizes nature and the natural world.
